ISO Commander

ISO Commander is a Windows application for creating and editing disk images. There is a mode for creating bootable disks. All common formats are supported, there is a metadata editor and a built-in converter.

Creating an image

After opening the application, you need to add a set of files to the working area. This can be done via Explorer or by dragging and dropping files onto the workspace. During the addition process, the total size of the data is updated and the properties of individual components can be viewed. This allows you to maximize the use of the available volume. To create an image, you need to specify a name and save directory. Additionally, you can specify the following information:

• author;
• creation date
• system identifier;
• volume label.

Editing and extraction

It is possible to modify the contents of the image. For this operation you need to open the ISO-file, extract the contents and reassemble the image after replacing the files. Working with files is performed through the standard Explorer.

Conversion

A full-featured converter is built in, which allows you to convert assemblies to other formats. All current extensions are supported. In the parameters there is a possibility to configure the program association with the required types of images. In this case, such a file will be automatically opened through this application after launching. Full information about the available tools can be found in the help section. All the main elements, modes of operation and menu items are described. There is a selection of useful recommendations to improve efficiency. For navigation, there is a navigation bar with a tree of categories, there is a search form by a set of keywords.
