RDWorks

RDWorks is a Windows application that allows you to create and edit drawings and then send them to the laser machine. Built-in function of automatic model checking and cutting optimization. A large number of models are supported A full-fledged project of cutting sheet materials and subsequent processing of the received parts is formed. It is possible to import finished drawings from other CAD systems (e.g. the popular AutoCAD platform).

Development

After startup, you can create a blank project or open a file for editing. The left part of the window contains a set of familiar drawing tools. You can add and customize simple shapes, add lines, draw curves and more. Paste and copy, adding text, reflections and other useful options are supported. It is possible to immediately change the main parameters of metal cutting, including speed and acceleration. This parameter is necessary when changing the source material, because the physical properties change. There is a full-fledged module for visualization of processing, which allows you to quickly identify shortcomings and errors, avoiding damage to expensive material. A LAN connection or standard USB cable can be used to transfer the drawing to the machine.

Analysis

Before sending the schematic to work, there is an opportunity to analyze it for errors. At this stage, unclosed contours, intersections and other typical errors are detected. The option of automatic duplicate removal and curve smoothing is supported.
