YouVersion Bible

YouVersion Bible is an Android application that contains the text of the Bible and can be used by all Christians when reading the Old and New Testament.

Working with texts

The application itself is initially presented by default with the text of the Testament in the Synodal Russian translation. But in the utility itself the Bible text is also presented in 65 different languages, so you can choose the right version of the translation as needed. Each user has access to Eastern and Church Slavonic, modern Russian, and so on. The app also has scripture reading plans available for the client, taking into account the situation and social group, as well as the purpose/mood. Specifically, it presents readings for new believers and women/men, for children and newlyweds, youth and spouses. Scripture readings for divorce or crisis of faith, prayer training, or anxiety are presented. The presented application has also a word search, it is also possible to search for photos, poems or videos. The user can also search by tags with certain emotions - love and anger, hope and fear, and much more.

Reading practice

The application itself gives the user access to the text of the Testament - Old and New, including the letters of the apostles and the Revelation of John the Evangelist. You can read the text on your own or play it through the audio player. It also provides links to YouTube videos with Bible verses. The utility can also remind the user of the daily reading of the Testament by suggesting a verse for the day, which can also be shared with friends. You can highlight certain points with a virtual marker, forming a note or bookmark.
