NCStudio

A highly specialized and free program for working with CNC machines, which sends commands to the machine for its operation, a PCI NCS control board is required. NCStudio is a program that works directly with NC machines. It can send a single control program to the machine to perform actions or individual commands to change a torch, scroll a part, or execute a batch of commands that can be created in the program ArtCAM for the program to work, it is mandatory to have an installed "hardware" - PCMCI board that processes and transmits commands to the CNC.

What the program can do

The software's skill list includes such actions as tool path control, rotational speed, tool feed rate, full motor control, and automatic part machining from start to finish. It supports special G codes that control the CNC machine in its own ISO 7 bit standard, so it can accept universal instruction formats from CAM compatible programs. During program execution it can be corrected in real time by pausing and partially executing individual instructions for the CNC machine. In other words, while writing a block of commands, you can visually observe the process of their execution directly on the machine (e.g. without inserted part, approximate execution process with task correction). NCStudio programs in a 3-coordinate system and with 9 working points. Virtually the entire part can be machined from start to finish with a single program block with different attachments on the machine (required for machining) with previsualization of the work. Thanks to the visualization of the work, it is possible to calculate the errors made in the code and correct them in time, thus avoiding defects in production and reducing the number of spoiled tools (if the wrong tool feed and tool speed were made).

Additional features

NCStudio supports part cycling as well as segmental machining. It can smoothly adjust spindle speed and feed rate directly during NC program execution.
