Lakka

Lakka is an add-on system for a laptop or desktop computer that works with Windows. With this software users can run old video games, including those from arcade machines and retro consoles. There is no Russian language localization.

Preparation for use

First, a person should download the distribution system and transfer it to an external drive, for example, a flash drive or memory card. Then it will remain to perform the installation of the OC. It is worth noting that this system works in parallel with Windows and consumes a minimum number of resources of the user's device. Thanks to this system can be used even on weak laptops and PCs.

Emulation

Having completed the installation, a person can proceed to select the desired emulators. The list of video games that can be launched depends on this stage. In total, the system has a collection of more than five dozen different emulators. Due to this user can play projects from the following platforms: Nintendo 64, Neo-Geo, Sega Dreamcast, Capcom CPS-3, Kaneko 16, PlayStation, MS-DOS and so on. A person is allowed to separately customize various parameters for each added emulator. For example, the user can change the volume level, game character control, graphic design and much more. To start playing, the user should download from the network virtual image with the desired entertainment project. For example, a person can download Destruction Derby for MS-DOS emulator or Metal Slug for Neo-Geo.
