Coloriage

Coloriage is a Windows application for photo processing. You can adjust the current color scheme, change individual shades and colorize black and white photos. You can automatically detect objects and their borders.

Palette

After opening the program, you should use the file manager to select a photo file for further work. All common today formats are supported, including BMP, JPEG and PNG. The program uses RGB color scheme for work, if the image uses another color scheme, automatic conversion is performed. Ready-made sets are used to work with color. For greater convenience, they are grouped by the theme of photos, for example, nature, people or seascape. This greatly simplifies the process of finding the right shade.

Processing

Standard tools are available for coloring, including pencil, eraser, and fill. You can select objects or areas where you want to keep the original color. Then you can select the desired shade in the panel and apply it to the desired area. All necessary tools are grouped in a separate panel. The built-in algorithm allows you to automatically recognize objects and change color when crossing a boundary. There is also an automatic coloring mode. For this purpose it is necessary to specify the desired color for the found objects beforehand. After processing, the user can manually correct the obtained result. All necessary instructions are added to the help section. Interface elements, capabilities and features of the algorithm used are described. There is a convenient navigation panel by category.
