AR Hunter

AR Hunter is a utility for guests and residents of the Capital of Culture who are interested in modern street art. A special map displays the places of graffiti that were previously painted over. When visiting the specified place there is an opportunity to see the original appearance of the object through augmented reality with binding to the corresponding surface.

Searching for objects

On the map, such places are marked with special tags. The user needs to physically get to the desired place, and then with the help of hints to find the exact location of the graffiti. For orientation, the signs of firefighters and public utilities are used. The service has its own page in Instagram, where you can also see these signs and other useful information.

Restoration

Augmented reality (AR) technology is used to restore the object. With the help of a special algorithm and data from the smartphone camera, graffiti in its original form is superimposed on the corresponding object of the real world, creating the illusion of paint applied to the wall. The user only needs to launch the app and point the camera at the desired area - AR technology will do the rest. After examining the restored object, it can be saved as a photo and quickly sent to friends via one of the social networks.
