Speedtest

Speedtest is a program for checking network speed, which determines incoming and outgoing speed in megabits, as well as ping to the nearest server in milliseconds. The software works in the same way as the web-service. Speedtest outputs accurate data about the Internet speed and displays statistics in a separate window. The main feature of the utility is the structure, which refers to UWP-applications. Speedtest works on only the new Windows OS. Running this software on Windows 7 is not possible. If you have an older operating system, you will have to check the speed through the official website. The program is available for download from Microsoft Store.

Usage

The interface of the software is simple and easy to use. Even a beginner can easily work with Speedtest. After launching the utility, press the "Start" key and wait for the animation in the form of a speedometer to appear. In a few seconds you will learn the download (incoming) and upload (outgoing) speeds. Speedtest itself selects a server that is suitable for checking the network. If necessary, select your own server and test the speed. There are no additional settings in the program, except for the log with recorded results of all previous tests. The new version of Speedtest displays a small description about the network provider. The main plus of the program is a simple and practical interface that suits any user. The software accurately measures the speed, although sometimes there are errors due to the choice of a third-party server. According to some users, the ping that the program determines is not very accurate. But this is not a disadvantage, because any server for checking speed shows data with a small correction.

Interface

The graphical interface of Speedtest is designed in a dark color scheme. The program shell and menu are rather "minimalistic". By its structure, the utility looks more like a mobile application than a program for a desktop computer. Speedtest is designed for use on devices equipped with a touch screen.
