Hamster Free ZIP Archiver

Hamster Free ZIP Archiver is a useful Windows application for working with archives. You can open in browse mode, create and extract compressed folders. Many formats are supported, including TAZ and ARJ. You can specify the compression ratio, multi-volume archives and password protection are supported. Integration with the context menu of the standard Explorer is provided.

Working with archives

When opening the main program window, you can drag and drop an archive into it or specify the path through the menu. The archive type is automatically recognized, and its contents are displayed in the central part of the window. The set of files can be quickly sorted by various parameters. This panel allows you to delete or add a file without having to repack the archive. It is also possible to unpack the contents to a specified folder.

Creating an archive

The program interface also allows you to create a new archive. To do this, activate the corresponding tab and add the required set of files. Then you need to specify the necessary parameters, including the algorithm and data compression rate. To send large files via messenger or e-mail, it is recommended to use the function of automatic splitting into parts with the specified size. In this case, the recipient will only need to collect all the received files in one directory and start unpacking the first one. All other files will be extracted automatically. For important documents, it is recommended to use the password protection feature. This will protect them from theft. The option to connect cloud storage is available in the parameters. This will allow you to save them on an external server immediately after creation. You can connect OneDrive , Google Drive and other platforms.
