OpenDiag

OpenDiag is a program for diagnostics and maintenance of "electronics" in USSR cars. It analyzes the entire car electronics and individual components. The program scans the stuffing in old cars through ELM-adapter and performs parts adjustment. This program is often used in car services. Experienced motorists do without the services of a car service center and make diagnostics manually, using an adapter K-line, ELM327 or J2534. Not all adapters are available in the free version of the program, so you should use OpenDiagPro. This version has advanced features and additional tools that provide access to the vehicle electronics.

Structure and features

The program is created from several modules. Each module "collects" information about systems of a specific purpose and vehicle components. OpenDiag is used to diagnose the gearbox with "automatic", as well as the system for automatic wheel locking. The utility has options for checking the electrical package, the system that controls the engine and other components. Ready information about the systems of the car depends on its brand and the creator of the equipment. Scanning and updating of technical data is displayed post facto. Before starting the diagnostics for the selected unit, you need to enter the program and select the menu "Select Unit". Then specify the necessary component in the list and click on it. Wait until OpenDiag shows the special purpose panel. The main shell and interface of the program displays information about the vehicle. All data is displayed automatically when you connect the adapter in OpenPort 2.0 or MiniVCI. If necessary, you select a different configuration and specify the port. Not all adapters display detailed information about vehicle breakdowns.

Important

The main function of the program is automatic collection and decoding of error codes depending on the manufacturer's documents. This feature is unique, because many analogs for checking car systems do not have ELM-diagnostics tools.
