Boosty is a mobile application for Android devices. The program is the Russian analogue of the foreign service Patreon. In the application you can subscribe to your favorite authors to get access to paid materials or upload content for other users.

Principle of operation

The application acts as a crowdfunding service for authors of various content. With the help of the program, bloggers and other creative people can add materials to their page, access to which is available to users after paying for a subscription. The application allows you to publish images, audio recordings, videos and text posts. It is also possible to broadcast to subscribers. Content creators do not need to pay for using the service. The application receives income from the commission, which is equal to 10 percent of the purchased subscription. The rest of the money goes to the authors.

Access levels

Content creators can choose the subscription price themselves. At the same time, there is a function of setting up several access levels with the indication of their differences between each other. For example, an author can give subscribers of the most expensive subscription access to private streams or additional podcasts.

Other features

The program allows you to apply not only paid subscriptions, but also to organize a fundraiser for a major project. For example, a content author can announce the creation of a movie or a book, after which the application will offer to send out alerts to subscribers.
