IMGTool

IMGTool - a special program whose task was to expand the usual for GrandTheft Auto games, in fact, a program for installing and managing mods.

Usage

This version works with IMG files, and can interact with 3 versions of the game: GTA III, Vice Citu exactly known to all - San Andreas. When using the program IMGTool, there is direct access to the entire contents of the archives of the game, from there you can extract any - or components and replace them with others that have been developed by other programmers. After that, at a new start, the game will work differently.

Features and controls

It is worth to keep in mind that IMGTool does not offer mods itself. It only provides a tool for their convenient implementation when they are downloaded from somewhere. Thus, you can download other cars, new buildings, characters or clothes that are not in the regular game version. All its functionality boils down to the fact that you can change the standard game files to modified, or simply add files - modifikanty, while keeping the old ones. In this case, the extraction of files is carried out without harm to the game architecture, just what was in the extracted file will not be, and the game will also continue to work. Also, the program can sort the mods that are available in the computer for a convenient search among them, for example, by category. Before you start the process of modification is better to make a backup copy of the game. Perhaps as a consequence of incorrect actions, the game may start to lag, this happens by the way, but this mod is crooked means or put incorrectly. Or, for example, will want to return to the original version, and if the backup file will not be, to return everything will be very problematic, and so it will be enough to simply reinstall the game on your computer. Of course, different files have different degrees of importance for the game, the program only guarantees their safe extraction, but if you erase the game image, it will stop working, for example, the file GTA3.IMG. By the way, while the program is running, the game should not run.
