OziExplorer is a multimedia application that navigates the terrain using raster maps. The user receives administrator rights: the function of correcting the initial data, adding waypoints is available; the navigator mode is present.

Working principle

OziExplorer runs on the Android operating system; the minimum technical requirements are the presence of a GPS module, access to the location of the device. The application is compatible with popular navigation devices, working with a ready-made map database. The user has access to download their own, scanned, images of the area. Multimedia application OziExplorer import data from the storage of GPS navigator, make edits, and perform a reverse upload.

OziExplorer application functionality:

• Monitoring of the current location, analyze and compare data received from the navigator;
• stereometric display of objects on the map (3D models);
• compliance with the following formats: "ECW", "JP2", "OZF2", "OZFX3";
• support of raster maps in primitive graphic formats - JPG and PNG;
• loading of terrain routes, creation of waypoints;
• modular tool for formatting according to OZFX3 standard;
• viewing a set of waypoints on the loaded location;
• saving waypoints in a separate file;
• multi-platform display of the current location (saving in several variations). The function is designed for the most accurate orientation on the terrain;
• calculation of the object's speed based on the information received from the GPS module;
• list of satellite systems active for connection;
• checking for database updates, in order to download the most detailed maps of the area, with the subsequent import of personal information.
