CellMapper

CellMapper is a mobile application for Android devices designed to assess the quality of network connectivity. It determines the quality, strength and source of the signal, as well as network frequencies and bands, and identifies factors that affect the data and browsing characteristics of the network. This application is an official utility of the service of the same name, which creates a global database of network operators' quality of service.

Testing

The utility can test networks including 2G, 2.5G, 3G, LTE and NR. It collects information about all basic network connectivity properties provided by the network operator. Test results are stored in history and are linked to the measurement location.

Additional features

The utility includes a detailed coverage map showing the quality of the connection. It also provides information about network sectors and network frequency ranges of different operators. Users can monitor the connection parameters online, the data of which is displayed in the corresponding panel.

Requirements

For the correct functioning of the application you need to allow access to the device storage, its ID and geolocation. Profile registration is available but not required. It opens the possibility to create profiles and upload test results to a common coverage map created by the user community.
