draw.io is a Windows application that allows you to draw diagrams, charts, graphs and tables. You can group objects, add lines, arrows, captions and simple shapes from a set. There is an option to save data to a Google Drive network directory. This allows you to quickly return to work from another device, you just need to specify the correct link to the project. After launching, you can start a new project or open the most suitable template for editing.

Templates

At the initial stage, the application offers to choose a suitable layout. The following categories are supported:

• interfaces;
• local network
• flowcharts;
• software;
• graphics;
• basic;
• and many others.

External templates can be uploaded, just specify the correct URL. This noticeably simplifies the initial stage of work. At the next stage you can choose the orientation and size of the working area.

Editing

The application is suitable for novice users. The main work is performed in the constructor mode. The left part of the window contains a set of tools - simple shapes, arrows, text blocks and so on. After selecting an element, you just need to drag it with the mouse to the desired place on the sheet. Rotation, resizing and other options are supported. Next, you should specify connections between objects and add inscriptions in the necessary places. In the settings you can specify the type of connection, as well as customize the general style of the new diagram.

Saving

After the project is completed, you should save it as a JPG or PNG graphic file. Export to other formats including SVG, PDF, XML and HTML is supported.
