Fences

Fences is a software for personal computers and laptops running Windows 7 or later. Thanks to the application, users are able to categorize shortcuts into various groups. There is an option to sort icons. There is a mode to darken areas with groups of shortcuts.

Key Functions

The main task of the utility is to distribute any shortcuts available on the device into different groups. Thanks to this, a person can combine applications that are similar in functionality. For example, you can create an area with text editors, software for working with three-dimensional models, computer games and so on. After the grouping of icons is completed, the user will see a number of areas on his desktop where the icons will be located. The principle of icon distribution depends on the user's wishes. The program allows you to create several work screens. This allows you to allocate separate screens for storing groups of icons. In the parameters of the utility, the user can change the transparency of areas with groups of icons, as well as adjust the color design. In addition, the program allows you to change the name of the group at any time. If desired, you can enable rounded edges for icon areas.

Additional features

The user can customize the order in which icons are displayed in each group. This can be done either manually or automatically. In the second case, the computer utility will offer to define the sorting principle. For example, the user is able to distribute icons by alphabetical order or time of addition.
