OpenSCAD

OpenSCAD is a Windows application that is a classic computer-aided design platform with a large set of functions. You can develop complex 3D-objects on the basis of pre-prepared program code. It is possible to import OBJ and STL files. The system is focused on the development of high-precision parts - mechanisms, equipment units and so on. There is a full-featured script editor, which significantly expands the functionality and simplifies the work with single-type operations.

Interface

The main window of the program contains a convenient code editor and a preview panel. To add a command, you need to enter the corresponding set of commands into the editor. It is also possible to change the properties of the patterns, including the size. The interface allows you to quickly change the current viewing angle and adjust the optimal scale. The interface also includes a console that displays error information and allows you to monitor the correctness of command execution.

Design

In the process of modeling, the utility reads the entered program code and forms an object on its basis. This approach, despite its apparent complexity, allows you to easily correct the current version and conveniently control all design stages. The syntax highlighting mode is supported, which makes the work much easier, especially for novice users. The finished project can be exported to STL format, which is recognized by many design packages and printing devices.
