YI Home is a mobile Android utility that allows you to keep video surveillance with branded cameras from the Chinese corporation Xiaomi. There is a quick setup feature by scanning a QR code.

Cameras

At the first launch of the mobile program, the user will be asked to create an account. If desired, you can use a profile from the social network Facebook after creating a profile, the user will be able to start synchronization with cameras. There are two methods for this. The first involves scanning a QR code, which is created in the utility itself. The second method allows you to synchronize according to the instructions available in a separate tab. After this process is completed, the user can change the name of each of the available cameras. The functionality of the program allows you to monitor any place in your home through special cameras. The image from them arrives on the user's mobile device with minimal delay. If you want to improve the quality of the picture, the user can use the streaming option. Through the mobile application you can set up a motion sensor. This will allow you to receive signals if one of the cameras connected to the system notices movement in its range of visibility.

Video storage

Since it may be difficult to monitor what is happening through the cameras on a regular basis, the utility allows you to save video recordings. The storage capacity of branded cameras can reach 32 gigabytes. Recording takes place in 1080p resolution. The user can study the saved materials through the mobile program.
