Fing

Fing is a network scanner utility for Android devices. Built-in tools allow you to test connection speed, check security and open ports. It is possible to check for Wi-Fi networks and gather information about them.

Scanning

After installation, you need to allow access to the geolocation module. A list of available access points will be displayed on the screen. The following information is collected:

• signal strength;
• number of channels;
• network name;
• router model;
• IP address;
• distance;
• access speed.

Separately, you can display information about the distribution of channels by frequency ranges. The search mode of connected devices is supported. When detected, MAC, IP and basic information about the operating system are displayed.

Security

The program can be used to automatically search for various vulnerabilities. In particular, there is a full-fledged port scanner. It also generates a report on the overall security level of the current local network. The obtained data can be used to adjust settings, which will increase the level of protection.

Testing

Built-in modules allow you to check the speed in both directions. It also supports checking the availability of remote nodes using ping or traceroute. In the latter case, information about all intermediate nodes is displayed. A full list of available tools with descriptions can be found in the help section.
