Buildbox

Buildbox is a Windows application that allows you to create simple games. All necessary tools are available to create levels, characters, customize their interaction with surrounding objects. The project is designed for novice users, the main work is done in the builder mode. From the user does not require skills in programming or special skills in working with game engines. You can create a game from scratch or download a template for further development.

Constructor

At the initial stage it is necessary to choose the type of the future game. As a basis, you can use a flat or volumetric location. Then you need to select objects from the built-in catalog, add them to the desired location in the workspace and customize them for integration into the gameplay. It is possible to draw objects directly in the program interface or import graphics from external files. Animation and sound effects are supported, linking them to game events. For a level you can immediately specify the start and end points. The user can create his own mechanics by entering the necessary parameters. For each item you can specify the mode of interaction. There is a ready template for creating a store with in-game items and currency.

Scenarios

A separate tab allows you to customize the general scheme of passing the level. The work is also carried out in the constructor mode - on the working surface there are special blocks connected with each other. You can add triggers to start a certain set of actions, for example, opening a new location when a certain game item is found. After completion, you can assemble the assembly and publish the project in the community. It is possible to prepare a package for correct downloading to a mobile device.
