Double Commander

Double Commander is a multifunctional file manager that can be used instead of the Windows system explorer. Among the available features of the utility: enabling the command line, copying files, creating folders, searching data by different criteria and much more. There is localization into Russian. In addition, there is its own text editor.

Program interface

Unlike the standard Explorer, this utility has two zones with a list of files at once. Due to this, a person is able to simultaneously view several different folders, as well as quickly move and duplicate items. At the top of the window with the utility is a panel with useful functions. Clicking on them activates a variety of options. For example, a person can change the method of displaying files.

Since the utility acts as a file manager, the user can work with the data available on the computer or laptop. The user is able to customize button combinations and use them to perform some actions. For example, duplicate information or create folders. Also through the program, a person can quickly search for various items stored in memory. This is possible thanks to the built-in search engine. The program has an option to form compressed archives and unpack them. Due to this, the user can avoid installing third-party software on the device to work with such data. The application is equipped with a text editor. It implements tools that help with writing code. Among other things, there is a syntax highlighting function.
