ClipGrab

ClipGrab is a free program for downloading videos from various web resources, including Vimeo. The utility allows users to manually select a location for storing the downloaded content. The user can also specify the desired extension for the video, which is possible thanks to the built-in converter. Among them: OGG, MPEG4, WMV and a number of others. If desired, a person can save the original format of the clip.

Content Search

There is a search box in the computer utility. In order for the program to find the desired clip, the user needs to enter an Internet link or title in the line. It is worth noting that the application supports the search for content from the following web services: Facebook, Dailymotion, Vimeo and YouTube. If desired, the user can try to download video material from other sources, but the developers do not guarantee the success of this process.

Downloading

When a person finds the desired content, the program will ask him/her about the desired quality and extension. The computer utility is capable of converting videos into formats such as WMV, OGG, MPEG4 and MP3. However, it is not necessary to use this tool. The user can leave the original file extension, whatever it may be. Current downloads are displayed in a separate section of the application. Here the user is able to track the progress of downloading, pause processes and so on.

Settings

Going to the settings of the program, a person will be able to change some parameters. Among other things, the utility allows you to choose a place for storing videos, activate the display of clip metadata, enable notifications about the completion of the download, and so on.
