Proteus

Proteus is a specialized software for designing electronic circuits. The program works mainly with numerically programmable devices. Before launching industrial production of certain products, companies preliminarily create virtual models of devices. At this stage, the created models make it possible to identify product errors at the design stage. The errors are corrected and the product is put into production. This method helps to avoid production defects or incorrect assembly of elements. Proteus computer-aided design system serves exactly for these purposes.

Features

The software is divided into six key modules. Each module performs certain tasks and ensures the correct operation of the complex as a whole. The program complex of the system will look as follows:

1. Application Framework is the main and key workspace from which the operator accesses the other blocks;
2. Common Parts Database is an intermediary module that exchanges information between related blocks;
3. Live Netlisting - this block contains the list of current connections that are available for other modules, also it contains information about changes made by the user in real time;
4. 3D Viewer - 3D viewer, the block shows the created model in 3D view and the user can use tools for scaling, detailing, rotation and so on;
5. Bill of materials - a relatively new module, which is responsible for working with various supporting documentation, reading, saving, exporting and printing it;
6. VSM Studio - the final unit of the system or otherwise development environment, where the project undergoes debugging procedures and customization for specific firmware.
